Corridor Solutions was engaged by Tararua District Council to map its transportation asset data, held in AWM (RAMM), to NZTA's Asset Management Data Standard (AMDS). We were then also engaged to project manage the AMDS migration, working alongside the Tararua Alliance (council and Downer) team.
Project milestone achieved: migration week completed a day ahead of schedule.
What we did
Mapped the council's transportation assets to AMDS.
Project managed the pre-implementation, implementation and post-implementation stages using NZTA Playbook templates, including project planning and cost estimation, stakeholder analysis and communications, and quality gate
Held fortnightly tracking meetings with the Tararua Alliance team.
Managed User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and feedback to Thinkproject during migration week.
Manually migrated the asset tables that held only a few assets.
Outcome
The project ran on schedule. Based on our migration and UAT experience, Thinkproject (owner of AWM) chose to migrate all assets in one phase rather than two.
UAT was completed within two days, and users were back in the database in the field by Tuesday afternoon, a full day ahead of schedule.
